  What matters need to be paid attention to when using Guangyan sealant   The sealant level should not exceed three inches from the top of the bucket. In order to make the liquid level will not change too much, should often add sealant. The pressure at the nozzle is generated by the air pressure and the static pressure of the sealant itself. Therefore, if the liquid level of the sealant changes too much, the amount of film will also change.
  Under normal circumstances, the use of water-based sealant sealant when the application of 0.7 ~ 1.4kg/cm2 air pressure; When the pressure is below 45N, the amount of film will change significantly even if the air pressure fluctuates slightly. In addition, if the air pressure is far more than 90N, the sealant will overflow or overlap under pressure.
  In most cases, when the barrel cover is gummed, 30% of the sealant is applied to the "plane" of the barrel hook, and 70% is applied to the pre-roll groove. The position of sealant is largely determined by the following two factors:
  1. Nozzle position. In order to achieve 70% in the ditch, 30% on the plane, the nozzle should be as close as possible to the bucket cover stretching "shoulder", that is, away from the pre-roll groove.
  2. Chuck speed. The sealant can be distributed from the position on the barrel cover to the plane and flow into the ditch, by the centrifugal force generated when the clamping plate rotates. Some problems in glue injection can be solved by increasing or reducing centrifugal force; The centrifugal force depends on the speed of the chuck.
Effect of sealant   Sealant is a new type of polymer sealing material, liquid, so good mobility, can be filled with gaps in the narrow seam of the steel drum rim joint surface, the formation of uniform, continuous, stable viscoelastic film, from the surface can be sealed between the steel drum rim joint surface, leakproof effect.
  In recent years, the viscous flow theory and energy absorption theory have been used to study and discuss the sealing mechanism of sealant. The research results show that sealant has the following five effects.
  1. Surface effect. After the ordinary solid gasket is pressed, there will always be a gap on the interface, which can not all fill the uneven parts on the surface of the steel plate, but the sealant can fill all the concave and convex places, and achieve good sealing effect.
 (2)adhesion effect. Sealant is a kind of liquid gunk, has good adhesion to the steel plate joint surface, which is conducive to sealing.
  3. Film effect. The movement of the liquid layer is the flow, when the steel barrel joint surface is sealed and pressed, the film formed between the joint surface of the sealant is almost as thin as the gap, and everywhere. According to the single-molecule film theory, the thinner the film, the greater the natural recovery tendency, and thus the better the sealing.
  4. Flow and pressure resistance. According to Paz's principle, when a force is applied to one end of a liquid, all sides of the liquid are subject to the same pressure. When the sealant between the joint surfaces is subjected to internal pressure, irreversible Newtonian viscous flow will be generated. When the gap is very small, flow is difficult to occur; When the gap will flow and leakage occurs.
  5. Volume change and flow. Solid gasket leakage prevention is by compression and elastic resilience, and sealant leakage prevention is in compression and tensile volume changes, it only occurs flow, and there is no compression deformation of solid gasket, so there is no compression fatigue, elastic damage, stress relaxation and other phenomena. Also, it always sticks to the interface, so it prevents the interface from leaking.
  Key points of pre-coiling spray process   (1) The bottom and top parts of the barrel should have smooth and uniform surrounding arc after pre-winding, without mechanical damage and strain defects. There should be no roll bias phenomenon (that is, the circumference of the arc size is not the same, one section of the roll more, another section of the roll less).
  (2) The shape and size of the pre-rolled edge shall meet the technical requirements, and the error shall not exceed the specified deviation.
  (3) pre-curled arc latex should be uniform, and filled in the arc, dry form a uniform ring sealant pad, there should be no broken glue phenomenon. Adhesive layer and edge should be good adhesion, good elasticity of adhesive layer. :
  (4) The top surface of the bottom of the barrel should be clean without glue points.
  (5) The top surface of the bottom of the barrel can not have mechanical scratches, especially galvanized barrels, the surface can not scratch the galvanized layer.
  (6)The selected sealant should be adapted to the items in the steel drum, and shall not react with the contents or pollute the contents. The sealant should also have good high temperature resistance, so as not to decompose or fail when the steel drum passes through the paint oven.
  (7) The top of the bottom of the barrel should be placed horizontally after pre-rolling and spraying glue, which is conducive to the average uniform solidification of the glue flow.
  S teps for using sealant
  The use of sealant can usually be carried out according to the following steps, that is, pretreatment → gluing → drying.
(1) Pretreatment
  If there is oil, rust, water or dust on the metal surface, it should be removed, so that the sealant can infiltrate the entire surface, fully fill the surface depression, and firmly combined with the joint surface. Otherwise, the sealing performance will be degraded.
  If the sealant in order to spray convenient reasons need to adjust the viscosity, redeployment, the preparation of sealant must also be completed in advance.
  (2) The distribution of sealant on the metal joint surface is not by diffusion, and must be coated with external force. The method of gluing can be selected according to the situation. Manual gluing with brush can be used, and automatic spraying with spray gun can also be used. Spray gun gluing is fast and uniform, suitable for flow line operation. Under normal circumstances, the glue thickness is 0.12 ~ 1.20mm. If there is a ring coating, the thickness can reach 0.50 ~ 0.70mm. The thickness is too thick, not only the drying time is long, and the coating part will be squeezed out in the rolling, not only waste, but also pollute the equipment, shorten the life of the roller, and even affect the quality of the rolling.
(3) dry Sealant generally contains a solvent. Sometimes in order to facilitate construction, but also in advance dilution deployment, so glue must be dried. General requirements dry to a sticky hand or solvent basic volatilization, and then roll sealing. Drying time is related to the type of sealant used, solvent and coating thickness, ambient temperature and humidity, open or closed conditions
